sorry i’ve been neglecting you, tumblr, but i’ve needed a breather. even worse is the news i bring you now: i will probably continue to neglect you until i can get my act together in arabic. but that’s not all i have to do.
- keep up on reading my sociolinguistics textbook
- and sociolinguistics reader articles
- take notes pre-sounds of human language
- read phonetics textbook for sounds
- review notes periodically for 3 non-Arabic classes
- read for structure of arabic
- turn in ungraded homeworksÂ
- (so he’ll write nice things for me in recommendation letters)
- study new arabic vocab
- study old arabic vocab
- practice making sentences using a variety of arabic verbs
- do arabic homework
- go back through workbook and actually do the damn thang
- search for future houses to live in for the fall
- with very specific criteria
- make sure i have enough saved still to put money down on house
- deal with stupid realtorsÂ
- and go with laura/stephy to view houses (without guided tour :P)
- search for a job to finance current living situation
- and save up for future possible pitfalls in buying a house at 21
- which steph has made seem really fuckin scary
as you see, tumblr, what’s going on in my life at this time is much more important than thou. and i didn’t even add eating, sleeping, or planning and prepping for my 21st birthday party to the list.
